Fall is here in full swing and we couldn't be happier!!!! Plus, you know what that means: FALL COCKTAILS! Yes. 2 things we love wrapped into one. Can we get an amen? As soon as the temps dropped we called in our favorite resident bartender and good friend, Alex Rollis, to show us how to drink the Fall way!
So today we have 3 great fall-inspired cocktails for you (one for brunch, dinner, and dessert!) and step-by-step instructions so that you can't mess it up! You're welcome. We've got an Apple Cider Sparkler, a Pear Limeade, and a Pumpkin Spice White Russian.
Apple Cider Sparkler
This is the perfect Fall brunch drink with your ladies. Its both super sweet and refreshing and so dang perfectly seasonal.
What You'll Need
- apple cider
- champagne (or prosecco)
- caramel sauce
- granulated sugar
- an apple (for garnish)
Step 1: Dip the rim of your champagne glasses into your caramel.
Step 2: Combine 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon into a small bowl, and dip your caramel-topped glasses into the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Step 3: Fill 1/3rd to half of your glass with apple cider.
Step 4: Fill the rest with champagne.
Step 5: Garnish each glass with a slice of on apple. (Cut a slit into the middle of your apple slice so it will rest on the glass)
Step 6: ENJOY!
We loved the way the caramel had dripped down the sides! It totally added to the vibe! And the cinnamon sugar on the rim was too good.
This drink is ultra refreshing and great to drink as a dinner cocktail.
What You'll Need
- 1 pear
- 1 lime (and a second lime for garnish)
- brown sugar
- soda or tonic water
Step 1: Cut a pear into small 1 to 2 inch pieces.
Step 2: Cut limes into quarters.
Step 3: Place 4 pear pieces into shaker.
Step 4: Squeeze juice of 4 lime pieces into shaker.
Step 5: Place squeezed lime rinds in shaker as well.
Step 6: Add 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to shaker.
Step 7: Muddle all pieces, juice + sugar in shaker, to get the flavors out.
Step 8: Pour 2 oz of gin into muddled shaker.
Step 9: Add a couple ice cubes and shake. Prep glasses with a couple ice cubes in each glass, and a lime wedge.
Step 10: Pour shaken mixture over ice between glasses.
Step 11: Top off glasses with tonic water.
Step 12: CHEERS.
We loved how refreshing this drink was! To take a step above and make it even more refreshing, try adding a few slices of cucumber to make your drink a pear-cucumber-limeade! Simply muddle a few slices of cucumber in with the other ingredients at the muddling stage. SO good and easy to sip.
