Is anyone else thinking how is Christmas next weekend!? Seriously, how did this happen? The most wonderful time of the year is literally zooming by faster than ever! So naturally, now is the time to start frantically purchasing those last minute gifts and figuring out how to wrap them. By the way, has anyone noticed how great the procrastinator deals are this year!? Is this always a thing??? Not sure, but we’re super happy about it! Today we're sharing our go to gift wrapping ideas: cute and simple.
It’s no surprise we are obsessed with kraft paper. I mean everything goes with everything, it's multifunctional and it doesn't break the bank. It's clearly a winner in our book! So for this look, we wrapped our gift in kraft paper and took red twine, taped one end to the bottom of the present, and wrapped it around the center creating a layered zig zagged look. Then, we cut out Christmas trees on white construction paper to use for gift tags. These are so easy and cute! You could use any color paper and find the shape of Christmas tree you like best online to use as a stencil.
Our second look is a red patterned wrapping paper with white pom pom ribbon. Can we pause for a second. Like, POM POM RIBBON!? When we saw this fluffy piece of heaven we knew there was no turning back. Okay, back to business.. So we used the same zig zagged look for this gift wrapping style by taping one end of the ribbon to the bottom of the present and wrapping it around a couple times. Think wrap repeat, wrap repeat. Might as well sip on some wine while you're at it. Then we tucked a tag in the ribbon and voila! A super cute and easy way to wrap your gifts!
This last one is a great masculine combination. It’s the perfect gift look for your dad, grandpa, that special someone, the cute guy at the coffee shop, or the guy that runs on the treadmill next to you at the gym (yeah, get him a gift and wrap it like this). We used a gingham black and white paper with a cream colored pom on top! POMS AGAIN -- can you tell we’re loving 'em!? We made these fun poms out of yarn. It’s super simple: wrap it around your hand lots and lots of times… squeeze in a sip while your at it. Do it: sip. wrap. swip (whoops). wrap. The more times you wrap, the fuller your pom will be (and drunker, perhaps)! Then tie the two ends around the center so you have lots of loops of yarn on each side. Finally, cut the the loops and fluff your perfect pom! Tape it to the top of your gift and chase that treadmill runner down.
Now it’s time to grab your favorite holiday drink (hot chocolate, apple cider or our favorite spiked eggnog) and start gift wrapping!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, FRIENDS!
