Co-Founder, Managing Director
Maxine, as our Managing Director, oversees all our day to day operations here at Willow & Wine. That’s a lot of details! Being a small business owner, she wears many hats and is also our in-house graphic designer! On any given day, you might find her watercoloring, designing an invitation suite, taking client calls, and so much more! We love to call her our Type-A Creative!
This year I will be taking on the holiday role of: Decorator and bucket list extraordinaire!
My favorite Christmas movie of all time is: The Holiday is one of my must watch movies during Christmas, but White Christmas and Christmas with the Kranks are classics in our house.
My go-to holiday drink: Hard peppermint mocha. Baileys, coffee, and peppermint marshmallow!
The song that just gets me in my holiday feels: It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
This year I’ll be decorating my tree: The day after thanksgiving! I want our tree to glow so bright this year so instead of buying new ornaments, I’m doubling on the lights!
My favorite holiday tradition is: Creating our winter bucket list. Making wreaths. Baking cookies. Eating In n out burger on Christmas eve with my family!
Co-Founder, Creative Director
As our Creative Director, Monica is involved in every creative project. Being a Co-Founder, she also wears so many hats, and just some of the things Monica does for us is: 4:30am runs to the LA Flower Market for all our floral design clients, consultations, and she works every single wedding we put on! She is our go-to person for that eye for beauty, layouts, and overall aesthetics.
This year I will be taking on the holiday role of: Present wrapper ALWAYS!!!! I love making all the presents under the tree look beautiful. I haven't decided what my theme will be yet for this year but I can never get enough of adding some fresh greens to top off each bow!
My favorite Christmas movie of all time is: I love watching Elf every year but I'm a total sucker for all the Hallmark movies too!
My go-to holiday drink: Spiced Cider
The song that just gets me in my holiday feels: All I Want For Christmas Is You
This year I’ll be decorating my tree: I'm keeping it simple this year with lights and natural wood bead garlands!
My favorite holiday tradition is: Making my grandma's apple pie recipe. It's to die for!!!!
Planner, North East Director
Jess is our East Coast girl! She is our head event planner for our North East Region, and tackles all communications with vendors, marketing opportunities, and so much more for all our East Coast events. She’s a logistics queen!
This year I will be taking on the holiday role of: Baker & movie watcher. There’s nothing like kicking back with a sweet treat and cheesy hallmark movie.
My favorite Christmas movie of all time is: the Grinch (obvi the Jim Carey version). Who doesn’t love who-ville?!
My go-to holiday drink: Nutella Hot Chocolate or homemade spiced spiked cider. Recipes for both available!
The song that just gets me in my holiday feels: Anything by Bing Crosby. Not only does his voice make me swoon, but it puts me in the Christmas spirit!
This year I’ll be decorating my tree: with our traditional annual Christmas ornaments! Every year Tyler and I get an ornament which represents that year to remember! This year’s ornament is a Hipster Santa (Wide brim glasses and tattoos included) to celebrate our big move to BK!
My favorite holiday tradition is: Tinkertown! Every year I’m home for Christmas we drive through the most charming neighborhood on Christmas Eve. The streets are lined with tea lights and Christmas decor.
Editor, Content Curator
Hi Guys! Beth here—I am the voice behind the blog! Nice to finally meet ya. I edit copy for us on different projects, create and shoot content for us (like our recipes, tablescapes, advice pieces, etc!), and run the blog.
This year I will be taking on the holiday role of: chef!
My favorite Christmas movie of all time is: It’s A Wonderful Life — I cry every time. It just reminds you what really matters this time of year.
My go-to holiday drink: Champagne for the parties and dinners, but mulled wine at home! My absolute fave!
The song that just gets me in my holiday feels: The Christmas Song, by Nat King Cole. A perfect holiday classic!!!
This year I’ll be decorating my Christmas tree: with all the special ornaments my husband + I picked up on our 1 year anniversary trip to Europe at christmastime! The dreamiest Christmas markets!! So excited to hang them all and reminisce…
My favorite holiday tradition is: Our trip to the tree farm — I take it very seriously. We spend a looooong time making sure we get the absolute best and perfect tree, and of course, wreaths and garlands. Then taking it home and decorating the entire house like a Christmas wonderland with christmas music on the record player and mulled wine in hand.
Designer, Production Assistant
Mikaela is our sweetest, “can do” girl—she does so much for us! From designing on different projects to assisting on so many events from beginning to end, she does it all with the kindest spirit! She is a floral design boss babe!
This year I will be taking on the holiday role of: the conversationist! Those close to me know that I LOVE to talk.
My favorite Christmas movie of all time is: hands down the Grinch! I can’t get enough of Cindy Lou Who’s, “Where Are You Christmas”! Though, Hallmark movies have a special way of sweeping me off my feet haha
My go-to holiday drink: Bengal Spice tea by Celestial. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out on the best tea experience of all time! Warning, when paired with a hallmark movie, you are sure to stay in on a poppin Saturday night.
The song that just gets me in my holiday feels: or, more like the holiday goosebumps, is “Mary, Did You Know” by Pentatonix. This song has a way of shaking my bones and holds so much truth, I absolutely love it! Though, a close second (because it was the first song I ever did ASL to) is “Silent Night”, it holds a special place in my heart.
This year I’ll be decorating my tree: as soon as Thanksgiving is over haha. Yes, I am one of those people that counts down the days ‘till it is socially expectable to start transforming my room into a twinkling wonderland. As for my tree, it will remain the same collection of memories and old family bells that it always does. For those who are wondering, yes I will get a real tree, Christmas wouldn’t be the same without the crisp comfy smell of pine!
My favorite holiday tradition is: has and always will be when the whole family gets together and has a giant dinner! Everyone goes around sharing new jokes, most of which take me a long while to get. Don’t worry I have become a professional at laughing while trying to piece it together. To top it all off, there is usually some form of competition that is involved, which in my family, is a must have!!
This holiday season, we are just feeling so so thankful. It’s been a wild and wonderful year for us, and we truly have so much to be thankful for—like this dream team of ladies right here. We could not accomplish an ounce of what we do everyday without these gals. And we also wouldn’t be anywhere without our clients and readers and supporters! You guys are the fuel that keeps us doing what we do. Seeing how truly happy you are with something we design for you, or your tears and joy on your wedding day knowing we had just a small hand in bringing your dreams to life, makes everything we do worth it. We are humbled, and so dang grateful for each and every one of you! We hope this holiday season you are surrounded by those you love and are able to reflect on all that you have to be thankful for this year. It’s a beautiful and magical and fragile thing we call life, and we are so honored to be surrounded by all of YOU!
Cheers to you and yours this holiday season!
