Okaaaaay -- daylight savings hit us hard this week. Anyone else? Also, why do we have daylight savings anyway? Does anyone really know? Anywho, somewhere around our third cup of coffee on Monday we realized, daylight savings basically means it's springtime and that summer is just around the corner. *Cue Beach Boys music* But seriously -- Tuesday is the first official day of spring. (!!!) So, in classic Willow & Wine fashion, we are celebrating the kick-off to spring with the perfect spring inspired cocktail. Something fresh and light, that doesn't weigh you down like your ex's baggage (too real? no such thing). Let's enter this season of new beginnings and new growth with freshness, in both our spring cleaning and our spring drinking. Cheers to the easiest, most refreshing drink ever....
What you'll need:
- Agave Sweetener
1. Add 5 leaves of mint, 4 raspberries, 1 tablespoon of agave and juice from half a lime to your glass and muddle.
2. Fill the glass with ice.
3. Add 2-3 ounces of gin and mix.
4. Top it off with tonic water and add garnish with mint leaves, raspberries and a slice of lime.
How will you be celebrating the start of spring? A picnic in the park? A little soiree at your house? A celebratory cocktail after a long week of daylight savings? Tell us! And if you make this perfect refreshing minty cocktail, share it with us!
Cheers to the beginning of longer nights, warmer weather, and blooms galore!
