Happy Friday Y'all! Today, we've got another wedding spotlight for you all, this time about Abby + Garrison. Their wedding was a minimalist's DREAM. While Garrison was from Alaska and Abby from Texas, they decided to have a destination wedding in between those two places: Los Angeles. Every detail was intentional, and nothing was designed to take away from the beautiful spaces they celebrated in. Between the entirely glass Wayfarer's Chapel surrounded by trees, to the dope urban cement + brick space they had their reception at, they didn't need decoration in excess. Instead, they went with shades of green and white and cream to create the most perfect minimalist vibe imagineable... take a look for yourself!

Q: What was your favorite part of the wedding day?
Abby: My favorite part of the wedding day was definitely the dancing. At this point in the day, I no longer had to worry about someone being late the ceremony, messing up my vows, a groomsman giving an inappropriate toast, spilling something on my dress or any other fears that run through a bride's mind the week before her wedding. All of the planned parts of the wedding day were behind me and I was able to spend time with all of my favorite people! I've been to some weddings where only a few people dance or the dancing only lasts for a few songs. Almost every person was on the dance floor and it made the night super fun. My Papa who has never danced in his life danced for the first time. It was incredible!
Garrison: I have to say driving the getaway car was a pretty amazing experience! It was a reward for everything and it was nice for Abby and I to finally have some time to ourselves. I had such a great experience and I could finally process the entire day.
Q: What was the most stressful part of the planning process?
Abby: I can easily say that the most stressful part of the planning process was the fact that I had never been to the venue or even the town where our wedding was held since we had a destination wedding. We had already booked everything before we visited 2 months before the wedding. I truly learned the value of the internet during this time. Garrison and I scoured Instagram, Twitter, Yelp, the Knot, Google Maps and every other wedding website known to mankind to try and find the best venue and vendors. I know for me, seeing other wedding on Instagram held at my venue really helped me make decisions for my own ceremony. Garrison found our chapel on Pinterest!
Garrison: The most stressful experience was watching Abby work. That girl would look for the perfect thing/venue/caterer and I would give up after 30 minutes. There were times when she would wake up at 6 am to work on the wedding before going to school and I was thinking "what am I putting this girl through!" She did such an amazing job and she deserves 99% of the credit.
Q: When envisioning your wedding what was the one most important thing to you?
Abby: Honestly, I had never really envisioned a wedding before Garrison told me that we couldn't elope. I am truly introverted and the idea of being the center of attention for a whole day didn't sit well with me. Once I started looking into planning our wedding, I had to get a lot of ideas from tv, the internet, magazines or wherever I could find it. The most important thing to me was the wedding being as low key as possible. I didn't want it to be a high stress day and worry about a bunch of details so I tried to make it as simple as possible.
Garrison: I have been to a few weddings where everyone is acting way too serious and you can feel the stress in the room. My goal was to not have that feeling and try to help everyone relax. It's supposed to be the best day of your life and you should look back with fond memories. To those in the planning process, remember to take a moment and take it all in!
